Ocarina

Dr. Daum has appeared internationally as soloist and artist-teacher of the ocarina. Passionate about bringing this ancient instrument to a wider audience, Dr. Daum provides a wealth of knowledge to both novice and experienced players and enjoys helping teachers use the ocarina to encourage students to have a life-long appreciation of music. Dr. Daum has authored a series of books for ocarina, Practical Daily Exercises for Ocarina Volumes 1-5, which are the first pedagogical practice books for ocarina published in the United States. In 2016, Jenna premiered Fantasy for Ocarina and Orchestra with the Washington Chamber Orchestra.
